Introducing Sprinkles...

Last post of the night, promise! So, this was our weekend:

-Friday night we went and saw Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D (loved it!) and then Brent spent the night with Tanner (for his b-day) and Ryleigh spent the night with Madi
-Sat. we ran around all day looking for furniture and then Eric took Brent to the Omni theatre to see Dinosaurs Live and Ryleigh ran around some more with us
-Sunday we ran around with the kids and came home with a guinea pig

Yes, you read that right...we are now a family of 5! It all started because Madi has a guinea pig named Gus and the kids fell in love with him. It was a non-issue until for some reason David decided to form an army of 3 on Sunday and beat down my defenses. We have been without a pet for 3 years now and I still miss Peanut everyday but I do realize that it is time for us to fill that void. We had talked about getting a dog at the beginning of this summer because things are just really crazy around here right now and also the kids will be home to help more. Everyone was in agreement with this but after a long lunch and discussion on Sunday, we ended up with Sprinkles (this is the name the kids picked for her). Needless to say, they are VERY excited and loving every second. They went to my parents house for a couple of hours tonight and Rye even called from there to check on how Sprinkles was doing :-). Guess they are taking this responsibility seriously, so far...
